Eventful

since we had no school on friday I naturally spent the entire day at the barn cleaning my stuff and riding with Lauren. My jump lesson went really well besides a refusal that led to me falling to my knees and Tuff running off! At the end of my lesson Chelsea asked me what my goals were for me and Tuff i told her i would love to event but im not sure Tuff will do the cross country. She said we would start schooling him come June :D im so excited. Saturday Christa and Katie had a show at WMEC so me and Lauren went and watched. They did awesome! Im glad to meet new friends and spend the day around a bunch of different barns and horses. Although Ive attended shows before i learned alot. Now to start another week of training and spending many fun filled hours at the barn. CANT COMPLAIN! quite eventful. PINE RIDGE EVENTERS <3 ;)

 

Life's Full of Experiences

WOO HOO FOR SPRING BREAK! anyway.... I struggle alot to pay all of my bills hence my heavy work schedule and constant search for work. I found a women in warwick who owns are warmblood barn and she needed help doing the stalls and turnout etc. HOLY did i not know what i was getting into... needless to say majority of the horses were 4 and under (most well behaved but certainly not all of them) and not to mention she had five stallions in the same barn as the mares.... scary? oh yes. You NEVER know the power and aggressiveness a horse has until you walk a stallion through a barn of mares in heat. & this was not the end... The stalls were 4 feet deep in shavings and almost impossible to clean and since the horses only went out 3 at a time for maybe a hour and a half i was doing the stalls with the horses inside them.... YEAH. stallions, gelding, mares, ponies...... it was crazy. It took me about 6 hours to complete the stalls... seriously. So i decided i had to leave. No horse is more important then my own and im not getting hurt.... OH WELL. Tuff has been a real angel this week. JUST KIDDING! all of our horses were terrible yesterday! not sure if it was the rain or what but bad was not even the word for everyone! Well im off from school so im going to ride ALL DAY EVERYDAY! :D i freakin love my life!

Progress Progress Progress

Tuff has been really good besides his little moments when he gets really uptight. Thursday i rode him bareback for the first time in a year or more and he was GREAT! Friday he was alittle tense when we first got into the ring because there were so many people jumping courses and coming close to him. Once we relaxed we had a really nice lesson with chelsea. Jumped the straight rails again and went from one to the other without the trot poles & he didnt rush! I can not tell you how much i am blown away with the progress tuff has made. I love him

cant belive it

hmm... I simply do not understand how things can change so quickly. I love all the girls at the barn expecally lauren because shes my best frenn! ;p Im continuing with my weekly lessons on Tuff with chelsea and hes is progressing really well with everything. This week we jumped again and tried the 2'3 oxer. Both myself and tuff were extremely nervous but we got over it three times.. granted all three times were not pretty at least he went over it and we both faced our fears. I love the fact that tuff will go from nervous to more confident then myself with a simple scratch of the withers and a whisper that he is a good boy. Chelsea says im going to be shocked at the height tuff will jump once he is in shape and more confident with himself as well as our confidence together as a team. Im SO excited as all this has been accomplished in a months time. It is alot on me with the amount of work and effort i have to put in to having enough money to pay tuffs board, my car insurance and gas but it totally pays of with the way i feel and the smile on my face after a awesome lesson. I hope that this summer i will be able to show him in low hunters or something if  he slows himself & stuff. I would go to the end of the world with this horse and that is the truth. I love him so much! <3

Never not enough time to ride

Although in a rush i had the most amazing ride on Tuff! Time didnt even matter anymore. Jumped him nicely over the cross rails and straight rails again. I love the way it feels to jump him again! It makes me more happy then a pig in shit (so to say). I was lucky enough to have janet, christa and lauren there to witness and also video tape me jumping :D now only if my momma would let me use her computer to upload it -___-  well, lesson tomorrow with chelsea (: I LOVE MY LIFE!

Soaked to the bone

Picked up my dear friend Lauren to go to the barn today! in excitement of not having to bring in cause it was raining almost made my day until a serious of unfortunate events..... they were turned out. In the pooring rain... I was not happy. Granted i dont mind bringing the horses in at night but poor tuff only had a sheet on that was not water proof. He was soaked and cold. To say the least we threw everyones blankets in the dryer put nice fresh coolers on them and let them relax in their nice warm stalls before removing there freshly dryed and warm blankets from the dryer and put them on them! man were they happy little campers! Anyway. Ring was soaked so riding was a no go but better luck for thursday! lesson on Friday with Chelsea. WOOP! im excited.

blown away

I am absolutely blown away by the progress made by me and tuff since moving to Pine Ridge Equestrian Center. It makes me so happy that Karen and Chelsea have given me such a amazing opportunity in taking the next step forward with him and myself. Chelsea is a AMAZING trainer.. In just three lessons she has improved my confidence so much that i have never felt that way riding before. Im thrilled at the things im finding out about tuff that i have never known before. He is really a sweet and relaxed boy at the new place and we are making huge strides in a positive direction. Cant wait to show! Did i mention that Chelsea had me jumping two foot verticals on him this past weekend?! YEAH TWO FOOT! & tuff was awesome about it. I cant say enough about how happy and excited i am for the future. I think i forgot to mention the fact that i have met a bunch of awesome new friends! Lauren, Christa, Sarah, Meghan, Leigh Ann, Emily, and Amanda to name just a few. Its going to be quite a awesome summer. Im looking forward to it.
